Nottingham took revenge on Bowdon for their last Longman Cup encounter, when they were whitewashed 7-0, with a 6-1 win that sees them through to face Ashby in the Northern Region final. Sylvia Steer registered a win for Bowdon in her morning singles match, but Nottingham were 2-1 up at lunch and went on to win all four of the afternoon games.
