All England Golf Croquet Handicap Final

The postponed All England Golf Croquet Handicap competition was held at Colchester over the weekend of 14/15 October. Luckily the weather was kind and Sunday provided blue skies and warm sun. Nine competitors contested the final and Manager Pat Hetherington set and exhausting schedule of all play all twice. Although not all games were fully completed, a clear winner emerged by 3.30 on the second day.

The winner was local player Paul Strover from Colchester with 13 wins from 15 games. Second was John Moore from Tyneside with 11 wins from 15 and third Ian Mantle from Letchworth with 10 from 16.
