Leo Nikora announced he has become the editor of the Sports/Croquet and Shopping/Croquet categories of the Open Directory Project. It's a great resource with a comprehensive set of links to other croquet sites.
The Open Directory (also known as dmoz.org, purchased by Netscape and then AOL) states it's goal as "to produce the most comprehensive directory of the web, by relying on a vast army of volunteer editors.
The service started as a pet project by two California-based computer programmers, Rich Skrenta and Bob Truel. Its inspiration was derived from the GNU project, the long-standing volunteer effort to produce a free, UNIX-like operating system. It was originally launched as GnuHoo, but the name was changed in order to avoid confusion.
