Hamptworth beat Harwell 4-3

The weather was very warm and the lawns fast. The hoops were being set when Harlow arrived an hour early. Fortunately the Hamptworth team were very local and arrived soon after some frantic telephoning. The hoops were set at a generous 1/8 but were very firm and caused difficulties throughout the day.

Copious notes regarding the results were made by the writer and if these are found will be posted soonest.

Hamptworth enjoyed Harlow's visit and good matches were played.
