3rd April 2011 (GC - Championships)

In excellent spring weather at Heaton Park in Manchester, 17 players contested the 12th Lancashire International Open GC Championship. Some were in their first GC tournament and, of these, one added his name to the trophy.

Lionel Tibble, having decided to give the format his blessing, won at somewhat of a canter. After seven wins out of eight in the block phase, he won the quarter and semi stage in two games until Paul Rigge was able to hold him to a third game.
