Alan Clark won the Hamptworth High Bisquers' Tournament, beating Richard Jelly in the final +15.

The dry weather and very high winds made the lawns ideal for Advanced play and in spite of the Club's efforts to water the lawns conditions were extremely difficult. So all the more praise to the winner Alan Clark from Watford (Cassiobury) Croquet Club. Several players had very high handicaps and seemed to enjoy the experience, claiming that they had learned much.

The format was two blocks of four, and two three hour games were played each day, using full bisques which allowed half the games to finish and gave time for the famous Hamptworth carvery.
