(AC - Handicap)
21 players assembled for a weekend of fine weather, good food and Croquet.
A wide spread of handicaps (20 to -½) ensured varied games throughout the weekend.
With quick lawns and firm hoops, everyone could enjoy at least a turn or two ... well almost everyone.
Special thanks must go to Gordon Hopewell for being the sacrificial caterer and for his flexible managerial style, which helped make the tournament so relaxed.
Local boy come good' Paul Webb scooped the honours, being the only one unbeaten. Runner up was decided by hitting balls from the peg to the West boundary (without going off!), notable only for Kevin Hamm's enthusiasm in making sure neither player gained so much as a millimetre advantage.
So good - We're doing it all over again 10 -11 June.
