Ashby played Belsay Hall on another hot summer day at Ashby on Friday 26th July. The hoops were set firmly, and there was plenty of interaction in all the games, although they all finished inside the time limit. Belsay Hall played well, and although some of the matches were close, they were 3-0 up at lunchtime. In the afternoon, Ashby clawed their way back, until the match scores were level at 3-3, with only the game between Arthur and Phil left to finish. Phil was poised to win with both balls for peg but Arthur (3b and peg) hit the 22yd shot and finished the remaining 4 hoops to seal a victory for Ashby.
