Richard Vessey won the Hamptworth B-Class

[<<] [>>] by Richard Stevens at Hamptworth Croquet Club
1 Sep 2013 (AC)

Conditions were near perfect, the lawns very fast and the newly set hoops were quite tight and very firm. Richard Vessey from Parkstone on

his first visit to Hamptworth won with four out of five wins then came three players with three wins and on a 'who beat who' basis Peter Balchin

from Dyffryn came second. David Fellows from Winchester returned to croquet after a break and played some good croquet in his first 'B' level

completion. For those who travelled far there was a cooked breakfast available and the club bar which served food all day was well used,

and the Hamptworth Sunday carvery was much appreciated. There was a small tournament supper at a local pub.
