The newly registered Pinchbeck Croquet Club was the venue for a return match against the Ely garden croquet club. Ely had hosted an Association croquet match on 21 August with Ken Wheeler and Bryan Saddington versus Mike Bowser and Patricia Duke-Cox playing advanced singles and Ely won that event 3:1. The return match included one handicap game and the Pinchbeck team this time won 3:1 on their home turf. Happily each contestant won two games, so honours are even. The Pinchbeck club hope to host more events with other local clubs in 2014.
