As with the Mary Rose there has had to be some reshuffling of sections to keep the draw reasonably regional. The sequence of sections in the draw was itself drawn, with West, East, North and South being the result. Of the 39 entries, holders Watford (Cassiobury) play Nottingham, while runners-up Woking play new entrants Merton. Last year's semi-finalists Norwich are in the same section as Watford this year, and play Letchworth, whilst Pendle play Bowdon. Other newcomers this year are Medway, up against Surbiton, Oxford University who play High Wycombe, Ramsgate who play Reigate Priory, Beverley who play Tyneside, and Fylde who play East Riding.

The full draw, with dates for completing each round, has been circulated to club contacts, and is available on the website under "Tournament Croquet".
