Frances Ransom won the Bristol Handicap Weekend

Frances Ransom won the Latham Cup at the Bristol CA Handicap weekend.

There were only 8 entries this year; down from last years 12 but every player made a determined effort to enjoy their games. The conditions were generally poor with high winds on Saturday but the final on Sunday afternoon was played in warming sunshine.

Frances (4) from Bristol played last years winner Caroline Denny (8) from the Bear of Rodborough. Caroline had won their block game and the final was a closely fought match. Caroline hung on to her last bisque right up to the last minute but had a bit of bad luck when she was wired from the nearest ball. Frances won the match by 4.
