29th June 2014 (AC - Championships)

Jack Wicks won the oversubscribed East Midlands Championship, beating Alain Giraud +26 +15tp in the best of three play-off between the winners of the draw and the process. Alain qualified for a CA Silver Medal by reaching it, having beaten Ian Lines in the final of the draw: Richard Smith was the other finalist in the process. A rather dismal weekend for weather was brightened by Rachel Rowe's joy in gaining a Gold Award in her first game, followed up by her 2nd triple later in the day, and ending the event as a minus player. Congratulations to them all.
