Nottingham B-Class Golf Croquet

Leslie Heard from Northampton won the Nottingham B-Class golf croquet tournament. A full complement of 24 players entered the event with visitors from Guildford & Godalming, Bishop Monkton, Durham, Leighton Linslade, Edgbaston, Merton, Colchester, Luctonians, Long Eaton, Northampton, Kenilworth and Hunstanton. Four blocks of six players offered all 5 games before determining block winners to play for the final 4 places to qualify for the national final for this Class event. Consolation games were also played with the result that 68 games were completed on a warm and sunny day. Block winners were Terrey Sparks(5/5), Peter Moore (4/5), John Edwards (5/5)and Leslie Heard (4/5). The final places were 4th Terrey Sparks, 3rd John Edwards, 2nd Peter Moore and 1st place went to Leslie Heard who had already qualified for the national event. Handicap changes were made for Sue Wileman, Valerie Harding and Peter Elmes.
