Eynsham Croquet Club Members won the Grass Roots and Centre Stage

The Eynsham Croquet Club swept the board in both The Grass Roots and Centre Stage Trophy Events.

It was a successful two days for The Eynsham Club at Ashby who again hosted both finals over the week-end of 13/14th September. On the Saturday Pat Edginton (Eynsham) ran out the overall winner on 7 wins out of 7 games to lift the Grass Roots Trophy, closely followed by Libby Dixon (Ben Rhydding) as Runner Up on 6 wins. On the following day in The Centre Stage after a rather tense final between Eynsham club mates Brian Hitchins and Tony Newport ,Brian ran out the winner 7/5 to take the trophy home.

Thanks must go to the Ashby Club for providing such a superb venue for these two event plus excellent catering over the two days. Not to forget The Manager home club member Eileen Buxton who ran both events in an exemplary manner.
