Tony Elliott won the C-Level Handicap Singles

The C Class AC Handicap Singles for the Thorpe Cup was played at Roehampton over the 3 days of 29-31 May, the first and last being cold, wet and windy with a warmer and sunny Saturday in between. In the "all play all" block Jordan Waters of Oxford University(8) (returning to the scene of his triumph at the Roehampton End of Season AC Handicap Tournament last September) played strongly to win all five of his matches (including along the way the achievement of the standard for the CA's Silver Award). But in a well-played and very tight game in the play-off Final against Tony Elliott (8) from Enfield, Tony just triumphed +1 on time ! Both their handicaps went down to 7.
