Tudor Jenkins of SCCC won the Solomon Cup in brilliant sunshine defeating Alan Cottle in the best-of-three final, +12, + 8. Having lost the first game, Alan sought to take advantage of Tudor's tactic of going to the peg whilst his other ball was still for 3 by making an all-round break and pegging off Tudor's forward ball. Unfortunately Alan had the misfortune to over hit his stroke in pegging out Tudor's peg ball and pegged himself out too. From the contact Tudor made a seven-hoop, two-ball break to take a commanding lead which he maintained to the finish.

The B Class "Sussex Tumbler" was contested by six players and played as a Round Robin. Three players finished with 3 wins however as David Cook and Neil Coote both lost to Daphne Gaitley, Daphne was declared the winner.
