Desmond Taylor won the Letchworth June GC Handicap Tournament

Desmond Taylor (Enfield) beat John Noble (Letchworth) in a close final to win this year's June GC Handicap Tournament. Des, handicap 6, made full use of his 9 extra turns in the 19-point final, even saving one for the 19th hoop, which turned out to be the deciding stroke.

The final was a good reflection of the day as a whole: excellent croquet in superb weather, close matches characterised by effective use of extra turns, and all played with great spirit. A well deserved win for Des.
