The knockout field was reduced to 7 upon the disqualification of one of the competitors.

The quarter-finals were single, 19-point games.

Les Heard (Northampton) bt Derek Buxton (Ashby) (10-3), Jane Pringle (Auckland) bt Maggie Cowman (Ripon Spa) (10-6), Libby Dixon (Pendle) bt Kathleen Wright (Long Eaton) (10-9); and Freda Vitty (Auckland) (w/o)

The semi finals were best of 3, 13 points games.

Jane Pringle bt Les Heard 7/3, 4/7, 7/4 and Freda Vitty bt Libby Dixon 7/6, 5/7, 7/6

Final also best of 3, 13 poitns games

The event concluded around 5.30 pm. The all Auckland CC final ended in Jane Pringle overcoming an exhausted Freda Vitty 7/4, 4/7, 7/0.

Places 3-4 Play-off' was a single, 19-point game.

3rd Place Les Heard bt Libby Dixon (10-6)

Places 5-8 Play-off's were single, 19 points games.

5th Place Maggie Cowman bt Derek Buxton (10-7), bt Kathleen Wright (10-7)
6th Place Kathleen Wrigt lost to Maggie Cowman; and, w/o
7th Place Derek Buxton lost to Maggie Cowman (7-10) and, w/o
8th Place unoccupied.

Non-qualifiers for the knockout competed in an all-play-all block of 3 players.
The Plate event was won by Eileen Buxton from Ashby.
