20th April 2018 (GC)

Fourteen players met at Guildford for the inaugural GC coaching Pod on the 9th April, under the experienced tutelage of South East Federation Coaching officer Jonathan Isaacs and Grade 2 senior coach and Championship referee (GC) Ian Cobbold.
Players were given individual folders with which to track their progress in attaining better skills in key areas using advocated practice routines. Everyone was made aware of possible up and coming rule changes likely to affect them and instruction given on existing grey areas of the present rules.
A second Guildford Pod is planned for May and will include jump shots, confidence building, video analysis and the tactical game.

Another large group of 18 players gathered at Southwick club on 17th April coached once again by the South East Federation coaching officer Jonathan Isaacs. The format was similar to the Guildford Pod and a follow on session is planned for the 24th May.

Anyone wishing to join in a Pod coaching session should go to the relevant page of the CA website at croquet.org.uk/?p=members/CoachingPods/golf where they can register for a Pod at a club of their choice and obtain Pod coach and coordinator contact details.
