Mark Avery won the Newport Open Weekend, winning all 7 games, with 4 triple peels. The only other triple was by Adrian Kirby. Ian Lines was runner-up.

The most amusing game was the last to finish. The unlucky loser was intent on pegging out her opponent, but grievoused, leaving a laid 3-ball break. This last game meant everyone won a game.

The tournament only had 11 players, so please consider entering next year. We would particularly welcome players in two categories:
Players in the handicap range 0-3; players who can beat Avery.
