Dennis Scarr wins Middlesbrough B-Level

The annual Advanced B Level Tournament was held at Albert Park on the weekend of 25 / 26^th June.

The weather on Saturday was sunny with a moderate breeze. By Sunday we saw a reversal of weather with a strong breeze and only moderate sunshine.

Handicaps ranged from 0 to 9 with 6 of the 8 players having handicaps in the range 0 - 3.

A Flexible Swiss format was used however the target of 3 games on each day fell short on day 2.

A time limit of 2.5 hours was used to keep things moving along. 50% of games went to time which might suggest given lawn and wind conditions the time limit was a tad ambitious.

At the end of Day 1 both Dennis Scarr and Neil Adams were on 3 wins from 3 games however the first round of games on Day 2 saw Neil Adams suffer his only loss. Dennis Scarr remained unbeaten on both days.
