Roehampton won a tight semi final match against Bowdon, with the key match turning out to be the doubles where a long battle at the golden hoop in the final game saw several missed attempts from both sides from various distances. Eventually Mac bound Harry Fisher managed to run the hoop from a couple of feet. Nigel Matthews belied his D Grade ranking playing very well in both his matches, taking a game off the in-form Mark van Loon. A consistently good clearer, he will remain a rapid improver and won't stay at 0 handicap for long.
