In the morning, peter shepheard enjoyed a comfortable victory over an out-of-form Jane Hull.

The doubles match was a see-saw, with first East Dorset, then Kington Langley taking the lead. Finally John Crowe made the decisive break in the last minutes

In the afternoon, Peter Shepheard again played convincingly to defeat Eric Bevan and Jane Hull, in better form, had the day's best result against Bob Sharman.

Alex Shipp took an early lead, only for John Crowe, revived by tea, to come back into a lead. Alex again fought back to take and hold a slender lead at the bell.

P Shepheard handicap was reduced from 14 to 12
