Freda Vitty

We regret to announce the death on 9 April 2023 of Freda Vitty. She was a well-known; well-respected and very competent Golf Croquet player. Although she was a strong supporter of events in her native north, she was a great traveller; a national organiser and a frequent entrant in the Open Championship, the European Championship and the Women's World Championship. Stephen Mulliner remembers her as "a thoroughly nice person with a cheerful approach to life and a doughty battler in GC". On her day, she was a match for anyone.
