East Dorset lost 3-4 to Hurlingham in the quarter-final of the GC Inter-Club competition.

The match was played in pleasant sunny weather. A measure of the evenness of the match was the final hoop tally, 94-93 in favour of East Dorset. The afternoon singles in particular were all extremely closely fought with the match result decided at the 12th hoop of the 3rd game of the final rubber to finish.
