Postponement of availability cut-off date
[<<] [>>] by Beatrice McGlen
4th January
(CqE Official News)
The availability cut-off date for the following events has been postponed:
The 2024 European Golf Croquet Championship
England v Spain GC Test Match
ERC Women's GC Championship
The availability cut-off date has been advertised as 5th January. However, the change to Croquet England means that the CA Selection Policy is no longer valid and the new Croquet England Selection Policy and Procedures have not yet been finalised. We are therefore extending the deadline for the closure of availability for these events to 29th January, in the expectation that the new policy and procedures will be in place by then.
The selection for all the above events will now be announced on 22nd March.
If it proves impossible to agree the new Selection Policy and Procedure before 25th January, then the existing CA Selection Policy will be modified so that it is applicable to Croquet England and adequate for these three events. On 26th January, players who have made themselves available will either be sent a link to the new Croquet England Selection Policy and Procedures or a link to the modified CA Selection Policy, so that they are fully informed before the availability closure date.
We trust that this will not cause too much inconvenience.
