Last year's Winner Martin Russell presenting Colin with Chalkhill Mallet

Colin Spencer (Downham) won the Chalkhill Mallet on the basis of who beat whom in a close run contest.

8 Players competed for the mallet and after 4 rounds there were 4 players on 3 wins each. Earlier in the competition Colin had bested Martin Russell (Downham) +15 and gone down to David Boxell (Hunstanton) -1T Richard Coward (High Wycombe) meanwhile had beaten David +5T and Martin had beaten Richard +3t!

In the 5^th and final round anyone could finish first! Last year's winner Martin pipped David with a Golden Hoop but Colin's +1T against Richard clinched it for Colin.
