The Role of the Funding Committee
The Committee is a Principal Standing Committee of Croquet England. It reports to the Executive and meets whenever it needs to do so. Generally the meetings will be by video conference.
The Committee has responsibility for
(a) the making of grants to clubs towards the costs of development projects;
(b) the making of loans to clubs, on favourable terms (interest free and with delayed repayment) for any purpose that will, or should, have the effect of increasing the membership of the club and thus increasing the revenue of Croquet England;
(c) administering the Bursary Scheme for potential international players; and
(d) administering the Sponsorship Scheme for Young Players, to enable them to join more than one club when they are away from home (e.g. studying at a university or college)
