Jonathan Hills won the Guildford & Godalming Open Challenge Cup

[<<] [>>] by Graham Gale at Guildford & Godalming
10 May 2009 (AC)

Jonathan Hills won the Guildford and Godalming Open Challenge Cup, wiht five wins out of five.

A considerably reduced field (due to some insignificant event in America)
contested the G&G Open Challenge Cup this year in an all play all format. Jonathan Hills from
Colchester kept a 100% record although none of the croquet on display was particularly
remarkable. (When was the last time a G&G Open didn't have a single TP?). Of greater note was the
return to tournament croquet of Phil Cordingley after last year's cycle accident and
the tournament
debut of G&G's new pavillion (er... sorry tent!).

Final Standings

Jonathan Hills 5/5
Mark Fawcett 4/5
Graham Gale 2/5
Peter McGowan 2/5
Ian Parkinson 1/5
Phil Cordingley 1/5
