Your Privacy when Entering Tournaments

Entrants

When you enter a tournament included in the online system TES, your name will be listed to all logged-in users, together with an 'email all' button. This applies whether you enter online or direct to the club.

If your login account settings say that you have decided not to share your contact details with fellow CqE members, you will not be included in the 'email all' group (you will be listed as 'Ex-Directory'), which means that fellow players will not be able to contact you and so you might miss out on social activities.

The following tournament and host-club officials have access to your email address if you have entered into a tournament whether or not you have agreed to share your contact details. For these officials, all non-blank email addresses are included in the 'email all' button:

This is described in the Croquet England Data Privacy Notice.

Users of the 'email all' facility should take care to use BCC to avoid exposing the email addresses of those who have expressed a privacy wish.

Tournament Secretaries

Tournament Secretaries for online-entry events who accept direct entries should ensure that the player is aware of this notice; otherwise, their entry should not be accepted.
