Peter Moore won the Robin Hood Gold cup

Thirty two players contested the singles events at Nottingham, plus seven year old Euan Burridge partnering his father Ian in the doubles, where they lost narrowly in the first round to former holders Barbara and Geoff Young.

First year competitor Peter Moore, playing off 16, won the big handicap event, the Robin Hood Gold Cup, and the D Class handicap singles, beating another first season player, Sanaa Hallam, in both competitions. He also reached the doubles final partnering John Davis, but they were beaten +4tp by James Death and Janet Booker in a close match, where a final 30 yard hit-in by James tipped the contest.

James Death beat William Gee 2-0 in the final of the Open singles, while Rachel Rowe beat David Brydon by the same margin in the B Level.

The C class was won by Cliff Daniel who, not content with putting CA Chairman Patricia Duke-Cox into the guillotine during his excellent magic show on Friday night (there are pictures to prove it!), then beat Patricia in the final as well.
