15th July 2012 (GC - Inter-Club)

The Ashby team made an early start for their day at the seaside. The journey was long but uneventful and the weather kind, superbly prepared lawns and a warm welcome from the hosts set the scene.

The game scores do not accurately reflect the play, as there were some tight games, but Ashby emerged as winners despite not having availability of Will Gee (National Singles Champion) and Rachel Rowe (World Women's Champion), who are also National Doubles Champions.

Thanks to all at the Hunstanton Club for a very enjoyable day.

Ashby will now play either Dulwich or Surbiton in the semi-final and on the basis of previous history will have a home tie whichever of those two other teams wins through.
