16th July 2013 (AC - Handicap)

David Frost won the singles event(The John Foreman cup). Nick Steiner & Erica Malaiperuman won the doubles at Colchester Croquet club.

Fourteen competitors took part in the singles under mainly clear skies on the well kept lawns of Colchester . The format was flexible Swiss. Two games were played each day followed by the doubles. David frost was unbeatable winning all his games.

Six pairs took part in the doubles event. Two 14 point games were played each late afternoon/ evening over two days. Ending with three teams on three wins all having one win and one loss against each other. The winners, brother and sister Nick and Erica were decided by a nail biting tie break....Great fun

Congratulations go to Anne Brookes for gaining her silver merit award.

All in all a most relaxing and enjoyable tournament with good food and a modicum of alcoholic refreshment.
