29 Sep 2013 (AC - Handicap)

A beautiful sunny weekend in Northampton saw 14 players contest the two-day Association Handicap event on 28th and 29th September. The players included eight locals and six visitors with handicaps ranging from -2.5 to 20. The excellent weather and generally fast play enabled most players to complete 5 matches over the weekend. Three players managed six or more.

The event was ably organised by Nick Evans using a modified Swiss format. Despite losing to Robert Fulford in his first match, the winner was the Northampton Chairman, Mike Hills, with 5 wins out of 6, and a reduction in Handicap to 1.5. Robert finished in second place.
