Lionel Tibble beat Rachel Rowe 7-4, 7-4 to become the winner of the third Nottingham Golf Croquet Open.

A total of 12 players contested this year's Nottingham GC Open. Split into two blocks, the format had originally been a best of two format. However, at lunchtime on Saturday, the heavens opened and all eight of Nottingham's lawns became flooded within a single shower. As such, play on Saturday was abandoned after only 2 matches had taken place.

Play resumed on Sunday, and although heavy showers threatened play all day, the blocks were completed on a condensed schedule. Lionel Tibble qualified top in his block, only losing one game to Mike O'Brian, who qualified second. Rachel Rowe topped Block B, whilst David Bell, Richard Thompson and Joel Taylor all tied for second place. After a playoff, David Bell progressed to the semi-finals.

Mike took the first game against Rachel 7-6, but couldn't hold out to win the match. Lionel beat David Bell in a closely fought 7-6, 7-5 match. So the final involved the pre event favourites, Rachel and Lionel. Lionel played very well to seal the match and tournament with a 7-4, 7-4 win.
