A full entry partook in the Hunstanton over 50's HandicapTournament ('The Jane Neville-Rolphe Salver') in a week-end where the weather was not that kind. However, despite the adverse conditions of north winds, constant drizzle and overcast conditions the players prevailed in that determined frame of mind that seems all croquet players have. Using the Hands-Irwin Egyptian system after 3 days of play the overall winner was John Bowcott (Hurlingham), closely followed by Chris Rolph (Southwick) and Bob Thompson (Nottingham) in third place. All three earning handicap changes for their effort.

Special mention goes to Chris Rolph playing in his first tournament and qualifying for the Bronze award.
