On a stormy day at Hamptworth the teams played a hard fought match on lawns at times with some standing water during torrential downpours, but in a good spirit. The morning play seeing the home side winning only one of the three games. Following lunch it was again the visitors who stole the match with three more singles wins leaving the home side somewhat bewildered. Congratulations to Merton for some very friendly and enjoyable games and Hamptworth wishing them every success in their next match.
