Selection Announcement: England places in the European GC Championship

The CA Selectors have made the following selections:

Three Membership Places (alphabetical order):

• Martin French
• Stephen Mulliner
• Lionel Tibble

Two Ranking Places (alphabetical order):

• Guy Scurfield
• David Widdison

With fewer lawns than some years and with the new cap imposed by the European Croquet Federation (ECF) of a maximum of 5 players per country, it is less likely that reserves will be called upon, other than for withdrawals. Nonetheless, it seemed prudent to order the next few players as reserves:

• 1st Reserve - David Crawford
• 2nd Res - Peter Dowd
• 3rd Res - Jayne Stevens
• 4th Res - Chris Sheen
• 5th Res - Sue Lightbody
• 6th Res - Paul Gunn

The ECF will be advised of these nominations.
