Roehampton won their first round tie at East Dorset fairly comfortably with their numbers 3&4 Joel Taylor and Nick Yates proving too strong for David Fuller and Mark Hamann. Steve Leonard scored the home sides winning point playing a near faultless clearing game to beat Tim Russell and continuing his good form from the doubles where he scored some impressive jump shots. Many thanks to the groundstaff at East Dorset for providing well paced lawns and to the club for their hospitality.
