Hurlingham beat Auckland at Nottingham to win the Golf Croquet Inter-Club-Championship 4-3

Hurlingham names first:

Nelson Morrow & Richard Hoskyns beat Eugene Brady & Roger Cotes (8-10, 10-6, 10-9)
Thomas Coles beat Pat Rogers (2-10, 10-7, 10-9)
Peter Quinn lost to Freda Vitty (5-10, 9-10)

Morrow lost to Brady (5-7, 7-1, 4-7)
Hoskyns lost to Cotes (4-7, 7-4, 4-7)
Coles beat Vitty (7-4, 7-1)
Quinn beat Rogers (7-6, 7-5).

The final was well fought and closely contested. In the morning, Aukland started well winning the first game in each match; however in two of the matches Hurlingham fought back winning the second game. In each of these the third game went to the last hoop with Hurlingham eventually emerging victorious in both. In the afternoon, Hurlingham has two straight wins with Auckland winning the other two in three games (Eugene Brady doing very well to beat Nelson Morrow, the current holder of the Golf Croquet Selectors Weekend event).
