Team Events

Players are responsible for all their travel, accommodation, travel insurance, clothing, meals and other expenses with the following exceptions:

World Team Championships

If the event is held outside of England, Croquet England will pay reasonable economy airfares, necessary transport and reasonable accommodation costs (players must submit a Croquet England expense form with receipts). If the event is held in England, then Croquet England will cover the reasonable cost of accommodation, if necessary. Croquet England will cover the cost of an international tie and England blazer (for those who do not already have them) and a number of England shirts appropriate to the length of the event. For home fixtures, Croquet England (or another sponsor) will pay for every team's lunch during the event and for one evening dinner for all teams.

Other Team Events

The International Committee will decide how much, if any, of its budget for the year in which the event takes place will be allocated towards the payment of expenses incurred by players chosen to play in the team taking part in the event. This information will be published as soon as possible, and at the latest before the team is selected.

Individual Events

All players are responsible for all their own entry fees, travel, accommodation, travel insurance, clothing, meals and other expenses, but see Bursaries below.

Claims

If a player is entitled to claim expenses for an international team event, or other team event if applicable, then they should complete the expenses claim form and submit it together with simple evidence of the expenditure (e.g. receipt) to the office within three months of the end of the event.

Please use the standard expenses claims form (MS-Word), or expenses claim form (Excel).

Bursaries

Players may apply to Croquet England for a bursary to assist with expenses, although it is noted that the general intention is that such players will be U25 Croquet England Members or Associates.

International Kit

Official England/GB croquet kit, consisting of whatever articles are considered appropriate, will be approved and updated from time to time by the office, in consultation with the International Committee. The same kit will be used for AC, GC, Singles and Team events.

Some items of kit may be provided to players free of charge. Croquet England will provide an England shirt to any player who is making their first appearance for England in a WCF or ERC individual event, and does not already have one. Any other article of kit may, if desired, be purchased by the player concerned.

All players selected to play for England/GB are entitled to purchase and wear England/GB kit, and those playing in a Team event for England/GB shall be entitled to kit. Shirts for World Team Championship events will carry the name of the event.

The application of these Guidelines is the responsibility of the International Committee, who shall report to and consult with the Executive as necessary.
