2022 Survey of Croquet Players

The latest 5-yearly survey of croquet players was conducted between 22nd March and 22nd April 2022.

The pandemic and its knock-on effects resulted in an upsurge of interest and transformed croquet in many ways. This anonymous survey of ALL croquet players (not just members of the CA) aimed to help the CA/Croquet England, Federations and clubs to make the best choices going forwards.

Background and Previous Surveys

From 2002 to 2017, the Marketing Committee conducted successful 5-yearly surveys of croquet players.

Besides providing a lot of useful information about players (their backgrounds, attitudes and opinions), which was potentially important in formulating strategy and plans, they enabled croquet to better package itself when the CA (as it was then) or clubs were applying for grants or seeking sponsorship, and to identify trends that shape our action plans.
