Croquet England Club Awards
Croquet England Club Awards are announced every two years. A trophy is presented, along with a certificate and accompanying prize money, to the winning clubs.
Croquet England makes awards biennially in three categories to clubs that have made exceptional progress in providing a good playing environment over two out of the last three years. This may include improvements to club facilities, membership initiatives, community engagement or other projects.
The categories have changed for 2025 as follows:
The Townsend Award is for a club with one, two or three courts.
The Apps Heley Award is for a club that has been formed in the last 5 years, with no restriction on the number of courts.
The Millennium Club Award is for a club with four or more courts.
No club can receive the Apps Heley award and one of the other awards in the same year.
All clubs currently affiliated to Croquet England are eligible. They must however have been affiliated to Croquet England (or previously the CA) for at least the two years prior to the year of the award.
Clubs will be invited to apply in the spring/early summer of alternate years (odd-numbered years).
To be considered for any of the Awards, fill out an Application Form and send it to your Federation Development Officer by June 30th.
The winners will be decided by the Sport Development Committee and announced in August.
Previous winners can be seen at awards made.
