Qualifying Event

A qualifying event is being held at the Nottingham Croquet Club from Tuesday 6th to Thursday 8th August, 2013. Those playing in it will be competing for four places in the main event (and possibly others created by late withdrawals).

Further details and on-line entry are available in the Croquet Association Fixtures Book.  Entries made by 17th April will be considered together on that date and places given to those with the highest ranking, if the event is over-subscribed by then. Otherwise entries will be accepted in order of receipt until the event is full or the closing date of 22nd July is reached.

Nottingham is about 120 miles (200 km) north of London, with a good rail service from the St. Pancras International, where the Eurostar services from Europe arrive.  (Note, however, that engineering work is planned which will close Nottingham Station, but a bus replacement service will be provided.  Alternatively some trains are running to Beeston.)

The results at the end of the seven round Swiss were:

Eugene Change (Q) 6

Patrick Hort (Q) 6

Harry Fisher 5
