Comments

Chris

Rutger beats Bullen +5 to claim a place in the last 16.

Players were consulted and have elected to double bank rather than use lawn 8

Lawn 1 Forster v Clarke

Lawn 2 Burch v Trimmer

Lawn 3 Fletcher v Avery (Primary)

Lawn 3 Bamford v Beard (Secondary)

Lawn 4 Death v Evans

Lawn 5 Maugham v Beijderwellen

Lawn 6 Chapman v Hockey

Lawn 7 Fulford v Johnston

First breaks to Fletcher, Bamford, Fulford and Chapman, dont think any of the other matches have actually started.

Forster fails hoop 2 for a break and Jenny now going round.

Fulford has MSL.  Johnston lifts ball at hoop 4 takes short shot and hits

Death on Sextupe doing 4 back peel rushing to 3 back

Forster misses long lift

Maugham trying to pick up 3rd turn break after supershot and Rutger to corner 2.  Maugham at hoop 2 with a ball by the peg

Trimmer makes hoop 1 and pretty much has a break hoop 2 pioneer 3 yards N

Avery hills off short lift at Diagonal Spread

Beard misses one back leave

Johnston makes hoop 1

Death has straight rover peel from a yard

Jenny has picked up second break

James finishes +26sxp

Fletcher picks up second break

Standard of play seems much higher today.  Think there has only been one error today (Forster hoop 2)

Lawn 1 Forster v Clarke - Clarke 2nd break on hoop 5 not peeling

Lawn 2 Burch v Trimmer - Trimmer 1st break on hoop 6

Lawn 3 Fletcher v Avery (Primary) - Fletcher on second break at hoop 2 with all the balls

Lawn 3 Bamford v Beard (Secondary) - Bamford has made hoop 1 with no peels of sextuple done

Lawn 4 Death v Evans - 1-0 second game not started

Lawn 5 Maugham v Beijderwellen - Maugham at 3 back 3rd turn

Lawn 6 Chapman v Hockey - Making hoop 4 off partner on second break

Lawn 7 Fulford v Johnston - Johnston on hoop 4, no TPO - Fulford 1 and 4 back

Death 15 yard narrow supershot.  Evans 5 yards E and 1 yard S of peg.  Death shoots at Evans from B baulk and hits

Rutger misses three ducks leave.  James on hoop 4 3rd turn

Pete has put one of Jamie's balls very nicely on the back of hoop 1.  Jamie lifts this and takes short shot at Pete's balls and misses.

Chapman has difficult looking 6 yard hampered shot after 1 back

James makes defensive 3rd turn leave.  Marcus misses into corner 4

Paddy hits hampered shot think he has one peel done.

Johnston on 1back

Reg peeling 2 back getting a rush to 4

Maugham has standard TP

Trimmer making hoop 2 should get standard TP

Flecther has rush peeled jawsed 4 back peel after hoop 5

Reg gets peel and makes hoop 4

Jenny has defensive OSL after second break with no peels.  "Middle" ball in middle of E boundary.

Forster lifts ball in middle of boundary, shoots at partner and misses into corner 1

Lawn 1 Forster v Clarke - Rolling up to penult from by hoop 2 to finish ends up beside the hoop - there is an oppo ball in baulk

Lawn 2 Burch v Trimmer - Trimmer has peel jawsed making hoop 4

Lawn 3 Fletcher v Avery (Primary) - Fletcher rush peeling penult before 2 back

Lawn 3 Bamford v Beard (Secondary) - Bamford peeling 3back before 6 - peel fails

Lawn 4 Death v Evans - Game 2 Death making 2 back with peelee at rover

Lawn 5 Maugham v Beijderwellen - Dave approaching 6 on a standard TP

Lawn 6 Chapman v Hockey - Looks like Paddy has made penult with peelee for rover by the peg

Lawn 7 Fulford v Johnston - Making his leave cant see what it is

All going wrong for reg doesnt get peelee into position to try 3 back peel going to 1back - manages to Jaws it.

Jenny plays away to E boundary level with hoop 6.  Forster has contact in corner 1 with the other ball 2 yards S of rover.

Fulford has hit his lift (thats all I can make out from 100+ yards!)

James finishes +26tp 5th turn to lead 2-0

Rob is taking his 4 back ball to the peg!

Evans to E boundary (probably 15 yards N of 4).  James to just out of corner 2.  Evans misses from A baulk.

Forster has break at hoop 3 (with what was his hoop 1 ball).  Partner for 2 is in the jaws of 2 (or possbly 1 back) not sure how it got there (Jenny pen and peg).

Think I have misled you from 100 yards.  Rob is making hoop 4 with peelee jawsed - the hoop I thought was penult was actually hoop 3!

James hits and makes hoop 1.  Possibility of winning match before Reg finishes his sextuple!

Reg running 3back with peelee in jaws of 4 back - doesnt get a rush

Forster making a 1back leave - taking off from wired balls at hoop 1 to the ball still in the jaws of 2

Fletcher pegs out +26tp game 1 against Avery

Chapman finished a few mins ago.  +26tp I think

Maugham also just finished +26tp 5th turn

Forsters hoop 2 ball is still on hoop 2 with a 5-6 shot from near corner 2 at partner for 1back which is nearly in the jaws of 1 back.  Cornering looks playable here.

Death having 1back leave

Jenny hits the ball by corner 2 - the ball by one back probably doesnt rush to penult

Jenny plays to make penult off ball near 1 back which she rushes to 3 yards in front of penult

Fletcher hits 4th turn after Avery supershot (Fletcher to near middle of E boundary)

Trimmer finishes +26tp.

Evans misses

Reg has 18 inch straight rover peel

Lawn 1 Forster v Clarke - Jenny finished + 19

Lawn 2 Burch v Trimmer - 1-0 Trimmer 2nd not started

Lawn 3 Fletcher v Avery (Primary) - 1-0 Fletcher.  Fletcher has 4th turn break game 2

Lawn 3 Bamford v Beard (Secondary) - Bamford finishes +26sxp

Lawn 4 Death v Evans - James at hoop 2 with all the balls for a sextuple

Lawn 5 Maugham v Beijderwellen - 1-0 Maugham second corner opening in progress - Maugham shooting at double down E boundary turn 4

Lawn 6 Chapman v Hockey - Think Hockey has just missed by a lot turn 3 after supershot Paddy to near corner 2

Lawn 7 Fulford v Johnston - Fulford has 3 peels done before 3 back

James peeled 1back before 2 but then stuck in two.  Marcus peeled him to 3 with his hit in and is going round.

Trimmer supershot, Burch to middle E boundary, Trimmer misses to corner 4, Burch missed from A baulk, Trimmer hits from corner 4 and establishes break.

Reg taking double from B baulk 4th turn of 2nd corner opening - misses

Fulford Johnston having drawn out opening.

Hockey has just failed hoop 1 off partner (I think Chapman had hit 4th turn).

Maugham breaks down at hoop 3 with break established

Fulford Johnstone opening was identical to Trimmer Burch (Rob hitting from corner 4)

Jenny has left double from A baulk for Forster 4th turn of corner 2 opening.  Forster misses

Beard makes hoop 1 but lots of work to do

Chapman has break at hoop 4

Fulford has failed to go round and Johnston has just missed something - top commentary!

Beard has missed bamford in corner 2 (or possibly split off next to him).

Avery hits another dribbly short shot at diagonal spread, lot of leg involved clearly hilling but got quite a lot of it

Jenny sticks in hoop 2 for a break.  Forster has a shot at it from N boundary.  Hoop actually sounded firm.  Forster hits.

Lawn 1 Forster 0 v Clarke 1 - Forster has first against 1 and 2

Lawn 2 Burch 1 v Trimmer 0 - Trimmer on first break at 2back

Lawn 3 (Primary) Fletcher 1 v Avery 0 - Avery setting up TPO

Lawn 3 (Secondary) Bamford 1 v Beard 0 - Bamford trying to establish first break against 1 and 2

Lawn 4 Death 2 v Evans 0 - Marcus on first break at 2 back (James on 3 and 2 back).  Marcus does death roll POP of 3 going to 2 back

Lawn 5 Maugham 1 v Beijderwellen 0 - Rutger on first break at hoop 5 against 1 and 3

Lawn 6 Chapman 1 v Hockey 0 - Chapman has I think failed 3back giving Hockey an easy chance

Lawn 7 Fulford 1 v Johnston 0 - Fulford on first break

Jamie hits long lift.

Avery is no longer on the lawn.  His clip is on hoop 4 and Robert's is still on 4back.  Robert playing with his 4back ball and making a leave
